- Hatha
Hatha is the foundation the rest of the training builds on: joint-freeing warm-ups, standing and seated postures, backbends and forward bends, and the alignment principles that make each pose safe to hold and safe to adjust. You will spend more time in Hatha classes than in any other single style, because the cueing language you learn here, how to bring a student into a pose, how to read whether their alignment is safe, how to bring them out of it again, is the language you reuse when you teach
- Pranayama and Shatkarma
Pranayama is breath as a practice in its own right, not just a warm-up for asana. You learn the major pranayama techniques and their effects, alongside shatkarma, the traditional Hatha Yoga Pradipika purification practices such as jal neti and kunjal, taught with the care and hygiene they require. This module sits at the heart of the school's Nath lineage roots.
- Yin and Restorative
Not every class needs to be active to be useful. Yin and restorative practice, long-held, passive postures that work into connective tissue rather than muscle, supported by props and stillness, rounds out the multistyle training so you leave able to teach a slow, quiet class as competently as a fast one, and understand why a body sometimes needs the slow class more than the fast one.
